Carolina Kowarick
I am a visual artist and painter, graduated from the Belas Artes University Center in São Paulo. My language unfolds mainly through abstract acrylic painting, but I also work across murals, digital prints, and other formats that invite experimentation.
I have been painting since 2010, though my relationship with art began long before. I grew up among different cultures and countries, surrounded by dance, drawing, and painting. As a teenager, I discovered the joy of traveling and how each place can reshape one’s gaze: I interned at art galleries in New York, wandered through temples in Cambodia and Mexico, and drew inspiration from Brazil’s forests and the cultural diversity of our crafts.
Nature is my strongest pillar—its colors, textures, and the passage of time are the starting points for my work. I am also inspired by abstract art, street art, and urban architecture, seeking to weave strength and delicacy into each piece.
Today, I create my paintings and projects in my studio in Salvador, where I transform memories, references, and feelings into layers of color and material.
